What is involved in the All on 4 procedure?
At your first consultation, we will fully check your teeth and gums with the use of X-rays, impressions, and CAT scans. A tailored treatment plan will be put together for you and will be explained in detail so that you are aware of what to expect- including costs and recovery time. Once you are happy, your implant surgery will be scheduled.
If you do need a tooth extraction, it may be possible to extract it and fit your implant straight away. This will depend on the tooth being removed and the condition of your gums. In some cases, a few weeks of recovery time will be necessary.
At your fitting appointment, the four implants will be placed along with a new set of interim teeth. The procedure will take around 1-2 hours.
You will be invited in for check-ups in the following weeks and months afterwards so that we can assess your recovery and make sure your implants are healing as expected.
It will take around six months for your implants to fully heal and fuse securely with your jawbone. At this point, we are able to attach abutments (or connectors) to the implants and fit your final set of replacement teeth. Each one will be made to measure, colour-matched, and perfectly adjusted for maximum comfort and bite.
